Be The Best And A Link Is What You’ll Get!

That has been my creed for some time in my signature at WebProWorld where I moderate.

I recently spotted a comment from Daniel Scocco from Daily Blog Tips, which is a great website by the way :) . Daniel stopped by Search Engine Journal to thank Loren for talking about an idea he had for a new holiday called RSS Awareness Day.

rss awareness

The objective of the RSS Awareness Day is to get as many people as possible talking about RSS and its benefits on May 1st. Bloggers and blog readers are already aware of the RSS format, but if enough of them talk about it perhaps the mainstream media will cover it as well, and the general public will get exposed to it.

At the SEJ post entitled: Want Links? Create a Holiday : RSS Awareness Day Daniel commented:

“Just to clarify, there is absolutely no need to link back to my article. As long as people blog about the RSS day I am happy :).”

WOW, I don’t want back links, LOL. Well that kind of attitude is exactly how you actually get back links, lol. Producing great content, ideas, etc for your website. 1000’s of confused SEM newbie’s should read this one comment, this one sentence and maybe it would come together for them.

You don’t have to go find back links. They will find you if you’re the best at what you do. Offer the coolest idea. Come up with the best innovation. Develop the best product, on and on. Ranking online is still and always be about being a great business first and foremost. The next step is letting the world know about it through your network. Social Networks like Stumble, Digg and Delicious have made that a lot easier to do.
